In this section, we’ll continue to work on likes and dislikes, adding the verb querer (to want) to our toolbox. To work with querer, however, we need to learn a new conjugation pattern: stem-changing verbs. The yo form of querer, for instance, is quiero. See what happened to that stem vowel “e”? It turned into an “ie”! In the following section, we’ll find out why.
