A.  Preguntas

With your knowledge of the verb ser, create yes/no questions from the following mixed up sentences. Then imagine possible answers to the questions.
Modelo: ¿española / María / ser? ¿María es española?

1. ¿ser / tú / estudiante?
2. ¿Jorge / ser / puertorriqueño?
3. ¿Señorita Brown / profesora / ser?

B.  ¡Sí!

Find eight students in the class that say yes to the following questions:

1. ¿Eres de Nueva York?
2. ¿Hay personas italianas en tu familia?
3. ¿Tu clase favorita es español?
4. ¿Hay más de (more than) cinco clases en tu horario de clases (your class schedule)?
5. ¿Hay un lápiz mecánico en tu mochila?
6. ¿Es tu concentración académica (academic major) la historia?
7. ¿Tu música favorita es el rock?

C.  Adivinanzas (guessing-game).

One person thinks of a word (a person or object from the vocabulary in this chapter), and the other members of the group have ten tries to ask yes-no questions and figure out what the word is.

D.  Matchmakers

Estudiante 1

You and your partner (Estudiante 2) have a plan to set up your friends on a date. First, though, you should find out if the two friends are compatible! Since your partner knows one of the people well, and you know the other, you’ll have to compare notes to see if they might be a good match.

Ejemplo:
