Mansoureh (“Mansi”) Amiri from Iran

Mansoureh (“Mansi”) Amiri was born in Tabriz, Iran near the Turkish border and grew up in Tehran, Iran. She now lives with her two sons, ages 8 and 5, in Bethesda. She moved to the United States in 2014. She speaks Farsi, Turkish, German, and English. Mansi studied at Montgomery College in the English Language for Academic Purposes program. Today she works as a computer science and technology teacher of 8th grade students at Francis Scott Key Middle School in Silver Spring, MD.  In her spare time, she enjoys listening to podcasts, looking at photos of interior design magazines, and hiking.
