Azigza (“Azi”) Hussen from Ethiopia and Sweden

Azigza (“Azi”) Hussen was born in 1989 in Asmara (then in Ethiopia, now in Eritrea) and lives with his fiancée in Montgomery, AL. He speaks Amharic, Swedish, and English.  Azi lived in Stockholm, Sweden from 2002 to 2017. He was a student at Montgomery College from 2018 to 2020.  His documentary short film, “Yewub Dar,”  was featured at the International Film Festival in DC in April, 2018 . Azi had an internship with the Television Academy Foundation and Warner Brothers in Los Angeles in 2019. He majored in Communication (Radio/ Television) at Alabama State University, in Montgomery, Alabama, one of the oldest Historically Black Colleges and Universities and graduated in May 2023. In his spare time, he enjoys writing film scripts, watching movies, and working out.
