Introduction

You are a part of a global effort to increase access to education and empower students through “open pedagogy.”  Open pedagogy is a “free access” educational practice that places you – the student – at the center of your own learning process in a more engaging, collaborative learning environment.  The ultimate purpose of this effort is to achieve greater social justice in our community in which the work can be freely shared with the broader community.  This is a renewable assignment that is designed to enable you to become an agent of change in your community through the framework of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).  For this work, you will integrate the disciplines of Creative Business; Digital Business to achieve SDG #8: Decent Work and Economic Growth. Target 8.2: Achieve higher levels of economic productivity through diversification, technological upgrading and innovation, including through a focus on high-value added and labour-intensive sectors.

Learning Objectives

After completing this assignment, students will be able to:

  • Understand the principles of sustainable digital business
  • Analyze the impact of sustainability on digital business growth
  • Apply sustainable practices to digital business models
  • Evaluate current sustainability practices in digital businesses
  • Create a sustainable business strategy for a digital business

Purpose/Rationale

This assignment is designed to help students understand the principles of sustainable digital business and develop strategies to achieve higher levels of economic productivity through digital transformation. 

Instructions

  • Conduct thorough research on sustainable digital business practices
  • Select a digital business and analyze its current sustainability practices
  • Develop a sustainable business strategy for the chosen digital business
  • Write a comprehensive report on findings and proposed strategies

Format Requirements

Report Format: 12-point font, 1.5 line spacing, APA citation style

  • Length: 2000-2500 words (excluding references and appendices)
  • Include executive summary, introduction, main body, conclusion, and references
