Learning Objectives

By the end of this lesson, students will be able to:

  • Understand key digital terms related to presentations and reports.
  • Create and deliver a simple, professional presentation using Google Slides or PowerPoint.
  • Generate a basic professional healthcare report using a word processor.
  • Apply formatting and design principles to communicate healthcare information clearly.
  • Provide and receive constructive peer feedback.

Part 1: Warm-Up Discussion

Discuss:

  • Why is digital literacy important in healthcare?
  • How do presentations or reports impact patient care or teamwork?

Vocabulary Matching Activity

Part 2: Creating a 5-Slide Presentation

Your instructor will demonstrate how to use Google slides. Take notes on the following topics.

  • How to open a blank Google slide
  • How to Add and Design Slides
  • Inserting Text, Images, and Charts
  • Best Practices: Font Size, Colors, and Simplicity

Now, in your group create a 5-Slide Presentation on one of the following topics:

  • The Importance of Physical Fitness,
  • Anthropometric Measurements,
  • Conducting the Patient Interview

Each group builds a 5-slide deck that includes:

  • Title Slide
  • Introduction Slide
  • Two Content Slides
  • Conclusion Slide

Part 3: Presentation Delivery

Each group presents.

  1. Each group will present their 5-slide presentation to the class (2–3 minutes per group).
  2. While listening to other groups, take notes on the following:
    • What did you like about the presentation?
    • What could be improved?
  3. After each presentation, ask questions or provide constructive feedback focusing on:
    • Content clarity.
    • Visual appeal.
    • Engagement with the audience.
