Welcome and Introduction

This course is designed to enhance the vocabulary and fluency of English language learners who are pursuing a career as a Clinical Medical Assistant (CMA). The aim is to promote a more advanced and practical use of the language, rather than just basic manipulation. The course emphasizes English communication skills in a CMA context, while also developing reading, listening, writing, math, study skills, civics, test taking, critical thinking and digital literacy skills. Additionally, students will collaborate with a Job Development Specialist to build job search and interview skills, as well as explore career opportunities in health sciences.
