Purpose/Rationale
Instructions
Using videography, a small select group representing the class will visit an office engaged in law enforcement, such as a forensic laboratory, a local police department, or the law enforcement museum, and take a tour of these operations, interview working staff, and create a virtual field trip tour for the rest of the class that they could not attend in person.
Format Requirements
Students will be required to videotape the actual field trip and edit the video to create a virtual field trip for the rest of their class.
Rubric/Criteria
The quality of the video footage gathered must be clear, and if possible, placed in high definition so that viewers get a sense that they are taking the field trip with those in actual attendance. The video should be clear in hearing, with proper acoustics, lighting, and clarity so that the students gather the information needed for learning about the criminal justice system.
