Using multimedia presentations in the classroom, persuade your classmates through formal debate and informal caucusing to adopt your country’s perspective.
Purpose/Rationale
Instructions
Students may develop social media feeds, infographics, or slide presentations to highlight their country’s perspective. You will experience being the ambassador for your country and engaging in interpersonal global dialog and negotiation. Students may choose which of their country’s many goals to prioritize and highlight in the class simulation.
Format Requirements
Formal presentations and public debate speeches may last for 90-120 seconds. Students may use multimedia formats (including posters/graphs/slides/twitter feeds/etc. to enhance the weight of their presentation.
Rubric/Criteria
This will count for 5% of the course grade. Up to 10 points will be assigned based on the policy content and accuracy of information provision. Up to 10 points will be assigned for accurately reflecting the assigned country’s goals in voting and negotiating. The remaining 5 points will be assigned for respectful and inquisitive dialog and negotiations.
