Learning Objectives

Course Objectives: Demonstrate knowledge of a variety of exercise techniques and exercise modalities. Demonstrate safe and effective exercise instruction through effective communication, cueing, and motivational skills. HIP Activity: ePortfolio. Description: Students will create a course page for PHED 228 and add their coursework to the page.

Purpose/Rationale

The use of the ePortfolio is included in many of the MC courses. This is renewable and can be modified and flexible with any changes made with the coursework in PHED 228. 

Instructions

Instructions: Add a course page labeled PHED 228 to the ‘My Courses’ section of your ePortfolio. Students who need assistance with adding pages may use the digital learning centers on the MC Campus or Virtual Campus. Next, add the coursework for the class. Include the course description and outcomes (provided in the syllabus) on the PHED 228 course page. Next, include the following course work in the ePortfolio:

  1. Class Project Part 4 (Class Design)
  2. Experiential Learning: Virtual Group Exercise Classes (describe the assignment and include the reflections)
  3. Class Project Part 5: Teaching a Virtual Class (upload the video).

Format Requirements

Students will use the MC Template for ePorfolio and add the PHED 228 course information and course work.

  2. PHED 228 Course Page
  3. PHED 228 ‘My Coursework’ content to include Class Project Part 4, Class Project Part 5, Experiential Learning Reflections.
