Using multimedia, prepare a brochure, poster, video, and/or website that addresses specific criteria. Digital tools – Library resources; various multimedia.

Prepare a brochure, poster, video, and/or website that addresses: The health risk and health-enhancing behaviors for the autoimmune disorder/disease chosen Signs/symptoms of the autoimmune disorder/disease

  • How is the autoimmune disorder/disease diagnosed?
  • What kind of doctor (Specialist) treats this autoimmune disorder/disease?
  • What are the treatments for the autoimmune disorder/disease?
  • The impact of the autoimmune disorder/disease on the individual, the family, and society. Support options for those with the autoimmune disorder/disease Are there national organizations for the disorder/disease?

Open pedagogical components – sharing ideas and resources. Students will share their projects with the class by presentation.

Format Requirements

No set criteria – as long as students cover the information. Students will present their project to the class. 

Rubric/Criteria

Points given for covering the information and giving a presentation. Assignment is worth 100 points out of 1000 points for the semester.
