Learning Objectives
For Assignment #2, the students’ objectives are to generate a proposal for a business that interests them and based on that idea, evaluate the available options for a type of business organization and select the best option for the success of their business idea.
Purpose/Rationale
Instructions
The instructor will provide at least three example business ideas. However, students will be encouraged to generate their own ideas. [ The default, should a student simply not be able to generate a business idea of his/her own (which is unlikely), is that the student can select one of the instructor proposed ideas. ] Thinking critically, and based on the information gained from Assignment #1, students will determine which business organization best assures the success of their business idea.
Format Requirements
The deliverable will be a three- to five-page analytical memorandum using an analytical business memorandum template provided by the instructor. The template will be typical of analytical memoranda used in a business context and will serve the purpose of introducing students to written communication in a business context.
Rubric/Criteria
The rubric is the same as that proposed for Assignment #1.
