30 Quantitative Determination of Metals Part C. Create Educational Material

Fotis Nifiatis

Cohort 2023

Learning Objectives

The students will learn to communicate science. Course Objective: (Technical Writing) HIP activity: Collaborative Projects Digital tool: The students will have to use PowerPoint for their presentation and prepare a YouTube video outlining their project.

Purpose/Rationale

The deliverables of this project may be used in the future by the department for educational purposes.

Instructions

Each group will have to write a handout to outline the research project, that should include:

  1. Introduction (Explain the purpose, chemical reactions, and theoretical principles of instrumentation used)
  2. Procedure (detailed procedure that can be used by future students in our lab)
  3. Datasheet (tables for future students to summarize their data)
  4. Calculations (provide an example of all required calculations in this experiment)

Prepare a PowerPoint presentation to present in class. Prepare a video on your project for future students who may need to perform the experiment in our labs.
